Financial aid counselors are knowledgeable in all aspects of student financial aid administration. Work is generally diversified requiring judgement, analysis, and decision-making guided by established practices and procedures. Working within federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations, financial aid counselors will provide financial aid information and advising services to students and families. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing financial aid budget appeals and updates, award adjustments, professional judgments, satisfactory academic progress (SAP), verification, and financial aid presentations and outreach.
